Bill McIlwaine

Bill has been President of Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS in Atlanta since January 2002 and has been successful in establishing Forum groups of business owners and chief executives of companies ranging in size from new start ups to Fortune 50s. All of his EXECUTIVE FORUMS groups meet in the leading business clubs in the Atlanta area.

Bill was a pioneer in conducting the Performance Management Program for chief executives and their leadership teams to help them develop culture of accountability and execution. Bill regularly conducts the Boot Camp part of this program at Duke University’s, highly regarded, Fuqua School of Business.

Prior to joining EXECUTIVE FORUMS, Bill was the chief executive of a U.S. Group Insurance operation for a major international insurance company and grew it from $60M to $325 of revenue in 6 years. An excellent coach and leader, Wall Street analysts described his management team as an “invigorated team that get’s things done” and together with “experienced and motivated sales representatives” his operation “achieved a legitimate competitive advantage in a very competitive market”. He has 24 years of business experience in all operational areas including: sales, marketing, IT, administration and finance. Born and raised in Toronto, he graduated from Canada’s highly acclaimed, University of Waterloo with a Degree in Mathematics.

Bill and his wife Nancy moved to Atlanta in 1992 and became American citizens in 2002. A former hockey player and coach, several of Bill’s former players are currently playing in the NHL. He also was the head coach at the University of Georgia from 1993-1995. Currently his passions are golf and competing in triathlons.
